Submitted by: fancylad 1 week ago Funny

A McDonald's spokesperson confirmed that the company's Twitter account was hacked this morning and there is currently an investigation to figure out what happened.

I got you, McDonald's -- hacked. *Wink wink* Maybe it was Russian hackers -- tee hee.

I'm posting this here because I can.  Also, it's more entertaining than the post.

This is when I love hackers, when they do stupid comedy.

kalron27 I remember a time when Viruses were created by hackers as a stupid joke and were often fairly entertaining as they worked such as the cascade virus that caused characters from your texts that you are typuing to randomly fall from   your screen to the bottom with a scream  until your entire document lay in a heap at the bottom etc. And they were easy to cure

kalron27 not really hacking, since it was easy to do on an internal network, but I used to love taking control of my step-moms computer while she went out for a smoke and would just re-arrange the icons on her desktop.  Drove her nuts.

waldo863 True, I just like the term Hacker.  Although even internal networks are getting harder at this point, especially if they are locked down Unix\Linux system.  Although to their credit, MS's OneForest is getting pretty secure as well, if you have good Administrators running things.

waldo863 One of my fav things to do was go into Radio Shack and when the sales people were distracted, re arrange the Zero page on their display Trashs then say that there computers are having a problem. It's fun to watch the sales people who have no clue putzing with their then "state of the art" machines trying to fix them.
