Miguel Ferrer, One Of The Greatest Character Actors Around, Died Yesterday At 61

Submitted by: rumham 3 months ago News & Politics

Miguel Ferrer died yesterday after a lengthy fight with throat cancer.

You might not have known his name, but he was one of those guys that seemed like he was in everything -- movies and television -- and he always knocked it out of the park. And here's an odd, unrelated fact -- Ferrer was first cousins with George Clooney. Ferrer's parents were Academy Award-winning actor José Ferrer and singer Rosemary Clooney.

Ferrer reprised his role of Albert Rosenfeld in the new and continuing episodes of David Lynch's "Twin Peaks." It'll be good to see him in one of his most memorable roles again.

I work for Dick Jones...DICK JONES!!!  Such an iconic scene...cocaine, hookers, blood squids and over the top death.  RIP Mr Ferrer.

Such a great actor, he will be missed. I felt his antihero role in the stand was awesome. You truly pulled for the character during the whole mini series.

Mikeman64 probably my fav Stephen King book outside of the dark tower series, and his Lloyd was spot on. i think you can still find the miniseries on youtube for free. for its time and constraints of the budget it was very badass and very true to the novel
