From Police Crime:

New video footage released Wednesday shows the final moments of a deadly confrontation between police and a 19-year-old, unarmed Fresno man on June 25.

Police Chief Jerry Dyer said officers believed Dylan Noble (pictured abovewas about to shoot them during the encounter, learning only after the fatal shots were fired that Noble was not armed, The Fresno Bee reported.

The Bee obtained the new video on Wednesday. It was shot by a witness from a distance of about 100 feet.

The 26 seconds of footage began with an officer commanding Noble, who already was on the ground beside his truck and injured by two previous gunshots, to “Get your hands up!” It’s unclear how Noble reacted, but police fired a third shot at him soon after making the demand. Officers continued giving orders for several more seconds before firing a fourth and final shot at Noble. Throughout the encounter, the trio of officers stood just a few feet from Noble.

Two officers fired the shots that hit Noble, Dyer told the Bee, and both were long-serving veterans of the force. Dyer said the officers were wearing body cameras that give a clearer picture of the entirety of the incident and he planned to release that footage once the investigation into the shooting was complete.

“I anticipate the criminal investigation will be completed by the end of August as there is a need to wait for all of the physical evidence to be analyzed either by the Department of Justice and/or the Coroner’s Office,” Dyer said.

Noble’s parents have asked for an outside organization to investigate. Dyer told The Bee he was open to an external review, however, one has not yet been initiated.

Officers initially stopped Dyer on June 25 while looking into a report of a man dressed in camouflage walking with a rifle. Dyer said Noble did not comply with officers’ orders and the police believed Noble was armed. At one point, Dyer said, Noble approached the officers “very rapidly” and placed his right hand behind his back, making the comment “I hate my (expletive) life.”

That’s when police fired on Noble, who had no criminal history.

“There was no firearm on this individual,” Dyer told The Bee. “There was no firearm found in the pickup.”

We need more information here. From what we've been shown and told here, yes, it looks like the cops are trigger happy assholes. However, what about their POV (ie. body cams)? It has been stated that the suspect didn't have a weapon. Did he have something that looked like a weapon? Did he pretend to have a weapon? If I have shot you because you are acting threatening toward me, and you continue to act threatening toward me (ie. acting as if you are reaching for a weapon), yes, I will shoot you again. The suspect (or possibly victim, according to how this plays out) is reported to have said that he "hates his life". Could this not be a case of suicide by police? Mind you, I'm not necessarily trying to defend the cops; I'm just playing devil's advocate. Everyone is so quick to vilify the cops, when there has not been enough information released at this point to truly know what happened. If it turns out that the cops are to blame in this one, I'll be glad to tie the noose to hang them with myself, put it over their necks, and pull the lever on the trap door for each one. Until then, why don't we wait for the facts before we start throwing blame around?

"Shoot him twice, if he doesn't respond:Shoot him again!" The Police are government hit-men.

There was a huge protest in his honor in PA. over the weekend. It was televised nation wide. Just kidding He was not black so no one noticed. The ONLY news coverage was a one second blurb on the daily show.

You are 100% right BLM should treat these instances and take them into their own. It would only help their cause.

Aww, c'mon. No reason to stand - in a line - in close proximity to a shot and downed 'suspect', and casually lob bullets into him. If this is what it takes to make cops feel safe, then they have no business being cops. The other cops, who will, no doubt, clear these pieces of shit - and declare therm heroes - should not be cops. The asshole chief of police, that will claim these fine officers acted according to their training, and within department guidelines, should not be a cop. The scum that trained them to act in this lazy, cowardly manner, should not be cops. Theuy should all be in jail. The chickenshit district attorney, who will not bear charges against these murderers, should not be on the Public payroll. Or if charges are brought, the corrupt judge that will give them a slap-on-the-wrist sentences, should be hanged.

Plenty of people get shot by cops without protests and marches. Lets not make it about race. The point is fuck the police. They are domestic terrorists killing people.

I can't see a thing in that video. Can't see if he's surrendering or aim a rifle at them. But lack of information won't stop die hard IABers from taking sides

Here's the only part I agree with "Lack of information won't stop die hard IABers from taking sides" With that said. Do people here really think a traffic stop should turn into a shooting? Can't we agree that going to having to discharge a weapon for a misdemeanor is going a bit too far? Even if someone is resisting arrest do we really think it's okay to respond with deadly force? I'm sorry if it's taking a side to say traffic stops shouldn't escalate to a shooting without something seriously going wrong. IE some guy takes off on chase, or someone pulls a gun out and points it at an officer, etc. Deadly force is fine it's just used way too much imo.

On a serious note, these are the "professional Good guy" with guns. IF these are the "good guys" holy crap what are the ordinary non professional citizens? NO wonder we have so many shootings. The cops demonstrate why we need to reconsider how we interpret the 2nd Amendment. Even they aren't immune to making bad decisions with deadly weapons.

So how long will it be before someone post his rap sheet. So we can villainize the victim and say he had it coming. Because everyone deserves the death penalty for the most minor offenses

By my reckoning one of the following must be true(or both) 1. American police are amongst the most incompetent law enforcers in the world. 2. Widespread use of guns causes hysteria leading to brash decisions.

Yeah "I didn't see a gun, and we had 3 guns on him while he was on the ground, but we thought he was about to shoot us"
