It's Official: The Gunman At The Florida Nightclub Pledged Allegiance To ISIS

From the Daily Beast:

"Two law enforcement officials told The Daily Beast that immediately before starting his rampage, Omar Mateen called 911 and pledged his allegiance to the self-proclaimed Islamic State. (A similar pledge was made online by the San Berardino terrorists before they shot and killed 14 people last year.) ISIS called on Muslims across the world to attack targets in the West during the holy month of Ramadan, which began last week. The Amaq Agency, an ISIS media affiliate, later praised the attack and took credit for it. Yet, there is no current established link between Mateen and the terrorist outfit."

Is this a real news source? From the NY Times this morning "But officials cautioned that even if Mr. Mateen, who court records show was briefly married and then divorced, was inspired by the group, there was no indication that it had trained or instructed him, or had any direct connection with him." The group being ISIL

Meanwhile in LA they caught a man trying to get into the Gay Pride Parade area with assault rifle and explosives. It cannot be a coincidence that these events happened almost simultaneously

It might be worth noting that CAIR has urged Muslims to donate blood in Orlando. I nice gesture I thought and a good way to prevent people like this guy from trying to represent them.

+100000000 for this. My wife is going tomorrow to donate. I...I'm afraid of needles...deathly afraid of needles...or I would too.

This is tragic on levels beyond belief. If everything is true that is coming out, this is just a senseless loss of life all around. To commit this much pain is upsetting to the core. I am interested on what the ultra-conservatives really feel about this one...is it OK and not "t3rrorism" because it happened to "The Gays"? Because the segregation and anti-laws aren't fueling the hate...right?

Maybe its just me...but no matter what country it occured in or against who... but 'taking credit' is pretty solid reason for a well placed missile straight to the face, take credit all you want be be prepared to deal with the consequences... and truly not trying to be all redneck about it.. but letting it pass with no retaliation only perpetuates their belief that 'it was gods will and he will protect us'. The Amaq Agency, civilian or otherwise need a good ole fashioned 'pop in the nose'.

Of course. now that the guy is dead they can do anything to his name and he can't stand up, heck they can even bring in some voice actor and record the 911 call 3 hours from now, and pass it off as authentic, and no one will know better

They would only do that if they wanted to paint him as a villain. Are you suggesting he is other than a villain and they need to discredit him?

No. We're in the midst of a clash of ideals, and it's well known the one with the pen to write history can write whatever they want. I'm not suggesting anything other than that this is being used by mainstream media to fuel its own clash.

He's a faithful Muxlim, his dad was a Taliban sympathiser. He was a registered Democrat, had all the required licences for his firearms. In fact since he was a security officer of some sort? He was subjected to even more scrutiny than the average person. >>> The IAB Liberal solution? More "common sense gun laws" once again. Not at all surprised in IAB's Liberal Brigade, but still keenly disappointed.

I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt for as long as possible, but this is pretty much all the information we need, right? Will they releasee these 911 tapes? Did they ever release the San Bernardino shooter's 911 tape? I never knew one existed.

@fancylad - I personally wouldn't judge you but lets be honest. Sometimes it looks way to much like a duck to call it a turkey.
