According to Xinhua, China just announced it was planning on relocating 9,110 villagers from the country's Guizhou province to make room for what's reported to be the largest radio telescope in the world, It's supposed to be on the search for UFOs later this year. Officials in the world's most populous nation have started their hope that the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) could help in the search for alien life.

On one hand, that kinda sucks for those 9,000-plus people (they'll receive roughly $1,838 for their troubles. Resident who comes from one of China's 55 recognized ethnic minorities will also receive an extra $1,534.)

On the other hand, I wanna see some martians!

Hey....be careful whom you contact! When a superior intelligence has come into contact wit a lesser one, history dictates that the lesser one NEVER comes off well from the meeting!
