It`s incredible the number of case of head injured people who make it out alive because they let the object inside the crane until a doctor could treat them.

They dont make many reports about those who die that way or even those who die because someone tried to remove the object by themselves.

What gets me is the wasted time on a press conference. Shouldn`t those doctors be working or something. I would think it doesn`t take three of them to talk, hell, don`t hospitals have PR people for this?

Poor, lucky bastard. Here`s to a full recovery!

On a side note, that editing was so bloody frustrating, let the doctors finish damnit!

@mcboozerilla: "every time he hears a seagull he poos his pants. Strange world." I thought it was everytime he sees a spear gun he poos his pants?

A guy in the 50s tamping dynamite shot the tamping rod through his head, suffered increasing difficulty over time; counting change, reading.
My gal-pal was in a coma for a week after head injury in a crash. She has significant memory retention issues and emotionally gets frustrated over that loss and associated problems with numbers.
Best of recupe.

I was reading an article about this in the New England Journal of Medicine and it seems the only functional damage he sustained is every time he hears a seagull he poos his pants. Strange world.

Poor kid. He`ll probably have behavioural problems from this. The brain can take a lot of damage, but discrete areas control certain aspects of behaviour and/or ability. Look at Phineas Gage.
